Update on 2017-2021 CBA Negotiations
Friday, 4th October, 2019
KUSU Members,
Further to our update of 25th September, 2019 on the on-going 2017-2021 CBA negotiations;
KUSU has since last week been consulting the Salaries & Remuneration Commission (SRC) among other key stakeholders seeking clarification of deficiencies and grey areas that we identified in the counter-offer tabled by IPUCCF; with a view to fast track negotiations of the CBA
Besides, we also engaged the Central Planning & Monitoring Unit (CPMU) of the Ministry of Labour in furtherance of the Unit’s effort to prepare an economic report as instructed by the court.
Today, Friday 4th October, 2019 KUSU has received a formal invitation from IPUCCF to a reconvened Joint Negotiation Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday October 8, 2019 at the Jacaranda Hotel, Westlands, Nairobi.
This is therefore to update and request you to remain calm and vigilant as parties negotiate for better terms and conditions of service.
God bless KUSU
In solidarity
